The Search For The Ultimate Laptop

I was cleaning out the shed the other day when I made an amazing and important find. Inside a rotting shoe box, under a mouldy stack of Wired magazines, I found a mysterious manuscript bound with a simple piece of soldering wire and a few staples for good measure.

As I gently unfolded the torn pages I made a brief scan of the Times New Roman print out and realised something truly amazing – what I had in my hands dated back as far as web 1.0! Stunned with awe I carefully attempted to read the full script, but without the reassuring backlight of my Apple iPad the task was unbearably difficult.

With the help of a team of blind monks I have now successfully analysed the parchment and can reveal that it dates as far back as possibly 2009 and is the journal of an average 21st Century man, detailing his adventures as he tries to find a decent laptop . Working round the clock I have successfully transcribed the fascinating journal onto my netbook and here, exclusively, I can bring you an exciting extract from this previously hidden treasure:

Today is probably the unluckiest day of my life considering how awful it’s been. Went to work in the cold and rain, came home in the cold and rain. As I was crossing Kew Bridge I thought I saw a member of the Royal Family wielding a bunch of stinging nettles looming towards me through the mist. As I ran for my life I tripped over a loose paving slab#pile of discarded free newspapers and my laptop went flying over the side into the cold Thames water.

Lying on the pavement, having just thrown two-year’s worth of work to the depths of the Thames, I looked up to see my would-be assailant was merely a kindly chimpanzee in a cape carrying a banana ice cream sundae.

When I got home we were out of biscuits, must remember to buy some. Guess I’m going to have to spend my weekend getting a new laptop then. At least I smell nice.

I was all set to leave the house and embark on a spot of laptop shopping this morning and was just studying the A to Z to find the best way to my local shopping centre (I may have walked it thousands of times, but you can never be certain) when I noticed a spelling error in the labelling of nearby Penomenomesophylcapple Row. Well, you can imagine my horror.

I immediately concluded that is was my duty to analyse the entire map book in search of mistakes, document them and send a stern letter to the publishers. At 2am I finished my task and returned to bed, there were only three mistakes, including a picture of a goldfish wearing an eyepatch in place of Westminster cathedral, but I think the public will benefit greatly from my correction.

Came annoyingly close to obtaining a new laptop today, I made it to the shopping centre and everything.

Unfortunately by that stage I was bleeding quite furiously from the bites round my elbow from the badger I’d annoyed when I accidentally stood on it’s tail whilst hiding in the bushes from a particularly aggressive squirrel. Also, the shop was closed. Went back to bed after a brief visit to Accident and Emergency.

Went online and bought a laptop, LCD TV and extra laptop memory.

An extraordinary tale, I think you’ll agree. I’m heading to a museum now which has expressed interest in my finding as part of a collection on bits of paper people have found in their houses.

Read More About The New And Exciting Ways Make Your Laptop More Comfortable To Use With Accessories Like These

Many people are beginning to buy cheap laptops computers since that prices have gone down on them so much, some are using only cheap laptops computers for their computer usage and others like myself use the laptop in conjunction with their desktop or when we have to go away for trips. It is amazing to me how a lot of different accessories are available to customize a laptop. There are numerous performance enhancements that you can add but since most of us go out and buy the most advanced system we can, I am going to focus more on the accessories that will help make your laptop more comfortable to use.

One of the best investments I made for my laptop was a laptop beanbag table. This great little item that is tapered and angled giving you a comfortable solid surface to work on so that you can sit in bed or on the couch and use your laptop more easily. The hard table also allows for proper cooling which keeps your laptop from overheating, something that happens often just sitting on your lap. To make it even more comfortable the bean bag table also has an ergonomic gel wrist rest to help prevent wrist strain and maladies like carpal tunnel syndrome. Not only was this one of the best investments for me in terms of comfort, it was also one of the cheapest.

Another cool invention is called the laptop wall caddy which makes it super convenient and comfortable to use your laptop anywhere you want in your home. It is basically like a portable desk. The height of the laptop wall caddy is easily adjustable and has a top that flips down to give you a stable workplace and then can be folded out of the way to save space. This is really great if you have a small home or apartment and don’t really have the space to be able to set up a permanent workstation.

Another thing that I consider in the comfort area is also a performance enhancer, a wireless card. The reason I consider it a comfort feature is because it gives you freedom to use your laptop anywhere without being confined to a certain space or tied to wires. Of course you will need a wireless service plan as well, but it is worthwhile to have just to be able to enjoy the mobility that it affords you. I promise once you get it you will never want to give it up. Make sure you have extra batteries too, that way you don’t have to be plugged in at all.
