Surprisingly this topic is not well covered and is widely left for debate. Some places like NGemu dedicate themselves to finding out about, and publishing the latest news about emulators, but don’t really assist you in deciding which one is right for you. Others have forums which may help, if you find the right topic to post in.
Finding the best emulator can be a difficult task indeed one which undertaking could change your life, and the way you think about retro gaming all together.
As entertaining as this all is some of you may even be wondering what an emulator is or what it does if this is the case for you I’ll detail here exactly what an emulator does.
An emulator allows you to play titles from old consoles or arcade games. While the details could be confusing the end result is simply this, you can download those games you played as a kid off the internet, and using a pc controller, play them just as if you where playing the real thing.
Some of the newer emulators have steep hardware requirements for your computer though so be wary of which emulators you choose to use.
